Day 1: January 2nd Happy New Year!

Welcome to Colombo, Sri Lanka
Participants will arrive at Bandaranaike International airport, where they will be greeted by RRI representatives and taken to Colombo's Inter-continental Hotel.

Day 2: January 3rd- Colombo
Participants are invited to partake in a morning sightseeing excursion of Colombo. Guests will depart Colombo via ac coach for midway point bewteen Matara.

Day 3: January 4thMatara

We will do a casual beach ride in the morning. particpants are invited to try out their horses. The afternoon will be spent organizing final arrangements for the relief mission.

Day 4: October 5thMatara
Medical Camp
Participants will help set up and operate our medical camp in Matara. The camp will open at 9.00 am and will close 4.30 pm

Day 5: January 6th Matara to Dikwala
We will start of riding through beautiful white sand beaches, which will then change to a route over paddies and through jungle. The ride will encompass paddy fields, jungles and a tour around the famous Tissa Wewa, allowing a glimpse into the village life of the island.

Day 6: January 7th Dikwala
Educational Camp/Pediatric Camp
We will ride to the school in Dikwala were we will distribute educational materials and hold a pediatric camp. Students will recieve a talk on health and well being, and will be admistered treatments.

Day 7: January 8 Dikwala to Hambantota
We will get an ealry start and take advantage of Sri Lanka's beautiful beach sunrise. Today's ride will be the longest as it is a 40 km ride. We will ride through some of Sri Lanka's most beautiful sweeping white sand beaches. Hambantota is a fishing village that was badly affected by the Tsunami.

Day 8:January 9th Hambantota
Educational Camp/Pediatric Camp
We will ride to the school in Hambantota were we will distribute educational materials and hold a pediatric camp. Students will recieve a talk on health and well being, and will be admistered treatments. We are currently researching the possibilities of holding a major medical camp in the village of Hambantota.

Day 9: January 10th Hambantota to Thissa
The ride to Thissa will take us through a beautiful landscape of streams, jungle, farms and villages giving us the adventurous a beautiful sense of nature.

Day 10: January 11th Thissa
We will spend the morning visiting the temples of Thissa. This beautiful village was the capital of Ruhuna (3 century BC to 11 century AD) since the days of the regional king Mahanaga (3 century BC). Many monuments built during this period still exist. The most prominent dagabos are Thissa, Ytala, Manic Vehera and Sandagiri vehera dotted around the town but within few kilometres.

Day 11: Janaury 12th- Thissa to Kataragama
Pediatric Camp/Educational Camp
We will visit schools were we will distribute educational materials and hold pediatric camps.
Students will recieve a talk on health and well being, and will be admistered treatments.

Day 12: January 13th Kataragama
We will spend the day touring the temples of Kataragama. The village is a popular pilgrimage destination frequented by adherents of all religions in Sri Lanka. The main shrine devoted to Skanda popularly described in eulogies as God having six faces and twelve arms whose assistance is sought for worldly gain.

Day 13:January 14th Thissa to Yalla
We will ride to Yala over beautiful beaches and through thick green jungles to get to Yala

Day 14: January 15th Yala National Park
Participants will tour Yala National Park in the morning. The park experience is akin to an African Safari. The park is filled with rare species as wild leopards, elephants and buffaloes. The park boasts large amounts of endangered Fish eagle and Changabal Hawks.

The afternoon will be spent relaxing on the beach.

Day 15:January 16thColombo
Early morning departure for Colombo. Guests will be transfered to the airport for their departing flights.
